Understanding the technical advantages of our integrated surface system
All Flexilon® binders are MDI-based polyurethane systems that are TDI-free and solvent-free. TPV® granules use premium virgin polymers without sulphur, clay fillers, heavy metals like zinc, or phthalate plasticisers.
Viscosity ranges from 230cP (primers) to 6000cP (high-viscosity binders). Temperature performance from -40°C to +70°C. Cure speeds from fast (cool climates) to very slow (hot climates/large areas).
Binder usage rates: 12-20% for wet pour installations, 10-12% for paver applications, 6% for compression moulding. Primer coverage: 2-3 m²/kg. Pre-treatment: 1-2% of rubber weight.
9-month storage stability when kept cool and dry. Containers must be resealed immediately after use. Cure inhibition occurs when exposed to moisture. Flash point >200°C for safe handling.
NCO values range from 7.5-16.0% depending on formulation. Specific gravity 1.02-1.1. Every batch tested for viscosity, NCO content, and performance characteristics before release.
Standard binders may yellow with light colours under UV exposure. Flexilon® 1231 includes UV stabilisers to retard yellowing. For complete UV protection, aliphatic binders are available.
